Communication Apps for Co-parents: Simplifying Parenting Arrangements
The Power of Technology in Co-parenting and Mitigating Conflict
At My McKenzie Friend Services, we understand that co-parenting can be challenging, especially when communication has broken down between parents. However, with the help of technology, co-parenting can be made easier, and conflict can be mitigated. We recommend two apps, Our Family Wizard and 2Houses, that can help co-parents create a positive environment that works in the best interest of their children.
App Close is a great app for co-parenting communication, and the fact that it is free is a huge plus. It offers features such as a shared calendar, messaging, and document sharing, which can help co-parents stay organized and informed about their child's activities and needs. However, one area where the app could improve is the calendar function. Currently, there is no way to color-coded different entries on a single calendar, which means that co-parents have to create multiple calendars to organize different types of events. Overall, App Close is a valuable resource for co-parents, and its free price tag makes it accessible to everyone.
Our Family Wizard is an app and website that allows co-parents to have a shared calendar, share files, communicate, and exchange information, and protect themselves from conflict using a language filter (with optional paid extra). The app costs £79 per parent per year and provides a space for parents to organize and manage their parenting arrangements.
2Houses is another app and website that helps co-parents manage their parenting arrangements, such as a shared calendar, space for dividing expenses, managing shared finances, messaging, and holding information about their child/children. The cost is £99 per family per year, and it provides a secure and user-friendly space for co-parents to communicate and collaborate on their parenting arrangements.
